Tamara’s interest in health and wellness began at five years old when she started a sixteen-year career as an Olympic hopeful gymnast. This rigorous lifestyle led to the exploration of alternative dietary and herbal therapies in order to optimize performance and maintain a healthy and harmonious balance. Tamara began her studies on a full athletic scholarship at the University of IL-Chicago, majoring in pre-med/dietetics. There, she was introduced to integrative medicine. Personal study led to the discovery of the healing powers that it has offered humanity across millennia. After experiencing first hand its healing gifts, Tamara switched her focus to the study of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

Tamara holds a Master's degree from the Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine and is California State and Nationally board-certified. She is a member of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), a program that focuses on behavioral health, including: addictions, mental health, disaster and emotional trauma.

She is the sole founder of Wren Acupuncture in Los Angeles, CA. and has been recognized as one of the top acupuncturists by Expertise from 2016-2023. While maintaining her private practice for the last nineteen years, she has also dedicated several years to patients in recovery at various rehabilitation centers throughout Los Angeles and Malibu, CA.

Tamara specializes in aesthetic acupuncture for facial rejuvenation, pain management, gastrointestinal health, and mental health (anxiety, depression, insomnia, and stress management). She uses acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, microneedling, nutritional therapy, aromatherapy, and functional medicine testing to help patients recover from a variety of health conditions. In addition to using these healing modalities, she educates her patients in understanding the important health benefits of exercise, mindful meditation and therapeutic breathing.

Tamara's intention is to educate as many people as possible on how to live their most healthy and joyful life. She additionally enjoys spending time in nature, travel and relaxing in her desert home under the stars. Tamara currently resides in Venice and Joshua Tree, CA.
